REPORT OF ACTIVITIES AND PROGRAMMES OF NYSC DESK OFFICE FROM 2015 TO DATE
It is worthy to note that the NYSC Desk Office otherwise known as Corps Welfare Unit has been fully engaged in activities in conjunction with National Youth Service Corps Secretariat Ebonyi State in the period under review.
The Unit is proud to state that every corps member posted to the Board by NYSC has always been absorbed and there has not been any record of rejection so far. It is on record that we have had a total of one hundred and one (101) corps members from 2015 to date that have served or are presently serving under the Board in our various schools.
From the figure mentioned above, fifty eight(58) corps members have passed out while forty three(43) others are still in service with about five(5) of them within the Board’s headquarters and the rest in the field making tremendous impacts in our schools.
However, the breakdown of the batches is as shown on the table below:

Meanwhile, other activities of the unit are in the area of the passing-out-parade of the out-going corps members. The Board in its usual magnanimity sponsors the unit financially to organize send-off party for each out going batch. These parties provide an avenue whereby the out-going corps members are advised by the Board and staff on how to face and tackle life challenges within the labour market. Each of them goes home with gifts, merit certificates for those that deserve it and tokens as transportation fare.
Furthermore, the unit supervises and monitors the performances of the corps members both in the office; UBEB headquarters and our various schools.
Ikpor-Ofe Gloria (Mrs.)
NYSC Desk Officer.
